Redesign of the OFN App
OFN is an app that partners with top European coaches to provide high-quality football education, aiming to help young players improve their skills and reach their full potential. In this project I did a complete redesign of OFN's application, the redesign aimed to increase user numbers by enhancing the overall user experience with a clean, simple, and engaging UI, ensuring a consistent and high-quality design.

Problem Statement
OFN's application lacked user engagement and had difficulty attracting new users due to its outdated user interface and inconsistent design elements. Therefore, a complete redesign was needed to revitalize the user experience, increase user retention, and attract new users.

Research
To kick off this project, I conducted a competitive analysis of the football education app market to understand market standards and identify opportunities for improvement in OFN's app. I also analyzed feedback from 42 users, which led to the creation of user personas.

For the UX I tried to create a design which would make it possible to personalize for different age groups, and break down the design so the instructions have an easy step-by-step structure taking the user personas and interviews into consideration. For the UI Design I drew inspiration from both sports and education apps, and I aimed for a balanced design between the two. The final design features a simple layout, uppercase headings for energy, and a minimalistic color scheme with a vibrant orange accent.

Concept Development
I made several prototypes of the new UI design on Figma, narrowed down the best options, and then held regular feedback sessions to improve the UX and UI of the app. Below is a previous version of the main screens of the app.

Outcome & Takeaways
The outcome of the redesign is still pending since it's not fully developed yet. However, this project has been a valuable learning experience. I discovered several key insights:
Simplicity and cleanliness in UI design can greatly enhance usability.
Regular feedback is vital for continuous improvement and achieving a user-centered design.
Clean UI design doesn't have to be boring; if done correctly, it can be engaging and improve usability.
Looking ahead, more user testing and feedback collection after the launch will be crucial to identify areas for improvement. Since this is just the initial version of the new design, there’s still a need to explore additional features based on user needs and preferences.
